Fidelity (FNF) Sessions
Certain sessions, particularly Loan or Home Closings are required to take place under specified parameters. This is seen in FNF (Fidelity National Financial) sessions. If you are a Signing Agent who works with Fidelity clients you will be required to execute your sessions under these parameters.
The first step to enabling this is to go to your Manage section and access the FNF (Fidelity) Compliance Checklist. This is a 3 part task list. There is a video showing this below.
You will be required to read the BlueNotary Handbook required to provide FNF approved notaries with a comprehensive guide to their roles and responsibilities. This requires acknowledgment that the handbook has been read and is understood. The handbook also covers how to conduct the sessions themselves.
FNF remote notarization sessions have strict document execution requirements:
Document Signing Sequence:
All signers and witnesses must complete their signatures first
Notary applies their signatures only after all participant signatures
Notary seal must be applied last
This goes for each individual PDF.
The platform strictly enforces this sequence - attempting to notarize before all signatures are complete will block the process. For example, if you notarize page 1 of a PDF before the signer has signed all pages, they won't be able to complete their remaining signatures.
This ordered process helps ensure document validity and FNF compliance.
Please note: For MISMO sessions, if a signer leaves the session, they must re-authenticate before returning.
You will also be required to activate Mutli-Factor Authentication for your account. You will be sent an OTP (One-Time Password) in order to activate this.
You will be required to upload your Digital Certificate that is up to date and issued by trusted CA's under AATL. Our recommendation for this is to use a non-expired Identrust Digital Certificate.
